I appreciated being able to be scheduled for a somewhat emergency appointment. As my regular hygienist was unavailable I had an appointment with a temporary staff member. She was professional and very helpful. At this time it appears that my situation was effectively treated and seems to be healing well.

The exception proves the rule: usually I have to wait only a few minutes before being treated, so the one time I had to wait for 30 minutes seemed frustrating. However, this is rare, and I appreciated that the staff were aware of the situation. I am terrified of dentists, but after being a patient of Dr. Mays for about a year, I find that I am no longer anxious for days prior to an appointment - thanks to the friendly and considerate staff.
