Our son has a mild case of cerebral palsy (CP). He is high functioning, but yet enough that causes him difficulties when doing certain sports or activities. From the time he was a toddler, he has seen a Physical Therapist for his CP. We knew the importance of keeping Justin active to help prevent growth spasms, tightness and help improve his flexibility. We also knew he would do better in an independent sport. We decided on ATA Black Belt Academy. We started him in 2nd grade and he is now a junior in high school, working toward his 4th Degree Black Belt.
Not only did we like the staff, but what their program stood for. It represents respect, how to treat others, and what a confidence booster it has been. The staff accepts Justin with his challenges. They and the program have helped him improve his balance, strength, flexibility and so much more! Justin’s doctor says, it has been the best thing for him. He has improved more with ATA then he did with therapy. Especially since he can go as many times a week that his class is offered. So much more than he could with PT. We would highly recommend ATA for your child!
