After 7 months, $4,000, 23 pills a day, one shot nightly, a special diet and exercise, I lost NO WEIGHT. I did however get oily skin and bushy armpits. What a rip off!

Very expensive lesson. I contacted them and ask numerous questions about insurance and my flex spending account prior to becoming a patient. I called WageWorks (flex spending) and they said it should be covered but without seeing an invoice they could not say for certain. I was assured by the billing person with Body Logic that my flex spending card would cover it and was told that they had many patients that did so without any issues. They ran my card for$190 and then WageWorks refused to cover the cost because the descript... read more

They want your money......lots of it. I spent $2000.00 on lab work, product, hormone, Dr. visits and that was not good enough. They fail to tell you a lot of things when you sign up and cooperate financially. I spent so much on lab work (Theirs) urine tests and supplements and hormones. When it was time to take my urine test for my first follow up visit.....they said it was $528.00!! I was confused.....I was told the initial cost for that urine test was just the one time charge of that amount. Nope......$199.00 administrativ... read more

Business response:

Dear C.M., BodyLogicMD is not insurance based. Therefore, the practice operates a little different from a conventional doctor's office. Please let me explain. While you may be able to utilize your insurance for some of the requested lab tests, in most cases, out of pocket fees do still apply. BodyLogicMD charges a processing fee any time testing is ordered. The processing and administration fee covers all of the back office work that is required related to your appointments and treatment. When you come to the office, you... read more

This office does not provide careful followup with abnormal laboratory values and requires the patient wait until the next appointment. Inquiries about symptoms are not received with concern. Prescription slip ups with the pharmacy at the other side of the country causes errors and is unreliable. Body Logic advertises close attention to bioidentical hormone treatment but does not address the whole person and their complaints. They are not a primary treating office which is understandable but their follow through is quite p... read more

I loved Dr Cooke. She is smart and knows what she is doing. The franchise of body logic, however is misleading and not forthcoming in their financial practices. They will inform you of a $199 "administrative fee" which one would assume is a one time set up fee -- nowhere in the paperwork does it say it's a recurring charge. So Basically what this charge is for is that every time they order a lab (which they send to their own lab--and REQUIRE you to use this lab) they charge you this $199 "administrative fee" plus the cost of... read more

Business response:

Cindy, we apologize for the delay in response as your comment was originally on a Yelp page that we had no access to and therefore did not receive a notification about your review. When stepping out of the realm of conventional medicine to practice bioidentical hormone replacement therapy, there are administrative costs associated with the services that are being provided--these are the BodyLogicMD processing fees which cover all back end administrative services that are not provided to you by the local office. Those service... read more

Went to Bodylogic doctor for menopause and spent a small fortune. Had to pay doctor for over $600.00 of lab work and $400.00 for initial consult, and $280.00 to compounding pharmacy, which my insurance didn't reimburse any of it even though I was told by staff that I would probably get something back. The lab work could have been ordered by my primary care physician and it woldn't have cost me a penny!! When I called my insurance company to follow up on the claim, the rep told me this was the first time she's seen a claim li... read more

So me wanting to retain as much of my youth as possible thought I would look into the bio identical hormone thing. I had recent blood tests done, which included everything BodyLogic MD required in there $300-$400 tests. I called and asked if I could fax mine over and we could go from there...after convincing the young lady on the phone to at least look at my test, she agreed to have the Dr. review them and get back with me..week one, week two...I called back and no one knew anything, so I tried again, week one..screw it..a... read more
