Get directionsCame out, pointed at something that I knew was broke, estimated the cost of parts completely above cost. then charges me an extra $100 for being in my basement for 15 minutes. Company is a joke, don't trust them, they're only there to steal money from people who don't know any better.
I should have read some of these reviews first. Terrible company and the owner does not listen! He and his people are always right and you are wrong. Doesn't matter what they told you. Very poor work. Did not fix the problem and did not communicate their policies upfront or after they spent hours accomplishing nothing. Do yourself a favor and find a company that understands customer service!

Terrible. I should have looked here first, yikes only 2.5 stars before my review. Very manipulative and dishonest staff. Paid for a toilet installation, they were not able to install the toilet but charged us anyway. Sad that this is what our world has come to. Luckily I found an honest, competent, and fair general contractor for future needs. I hope you all can find someone like that too, before you lose hundreds of dollars.

I have used Capps for years, always ignoring many small problems (mainly sloppy leaving messes) because my condo association uses them for big issues. But today was the last straw. I had a leaky pipe & also a shut off valve that was leaking water into the basement. I called Capps based on flyers I had received in the coupon magazines. The 2 sons came out & they were very nice & put on protective footware before entering. They charged $68 just to come out! What happened to free estimates? The valve that was leaking was just a loose nut, so they tightened and charged me $95 just to tighten a nut! today is the 4th year in a row that i had capps come out to tur my sprinklers on. i called them for a quote and they told me $135. when they get here i am told that i also have to pay $14.95 (city fee), which should have been paid by them since they quoted me one price. they also tell me i have to pay a trip charge of $68. 2 years ago they told me i only had to pay it 1 time, which i did. so then the following year, 2015, they did not charge me a trip charge. this time i had to get on the phone with the owner and he te... read more

Joe Capps is a bully and a bad person. He treated me very unprofessionally because of my English accent. Some of their plumbers are not good for anything. They tell you that diagnosis is $68 but if they touch anything it will go up to $95. You cannot reason with Joe Capps to make him understand your issue. Joe Capps says that all his plumbers talk with him before starting the work which is a lie. I recently had a leak in my faucet ,it was a Saturday and harder to get a plumber. Capps sold me a Moen faucet that they said was chrome and similiar to the one I had that was Stainlesss steel. I was busy making lunch so I took the man at his word. We signed the papers then he left and I picked up the pull out faucet to clean up and it was so light it was like a toy. Stay away. Consider yourself warned. Our call to them resulted in a technician showing up who refused to do the entire job he was asked to bid on, wanting only to do the simplest components, and willing to do work that was not up to code. Upon questioning the quote, I was told the quote is the quote, no justification would be provided and I could call the owner if I'd like. I did.
